We are seeking a talented individual to join our Actuarial team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective teams arrangement.
Reinsurance Actuarial Analyst
We will count on you to:
Conduct actuarial analysis regarding design pricing and risk transfer of reinsurance programmes and advise on optimal reinsurance structures
Perform Catastrophe Modelling as and when required and incorporating CAT modeling output in the actuarial analysis
Discuss findings and analysis with clients and other stakeholders
Develop and maintain internal actuarial solutions identify potential for improvement of the existing applications
Research issues and industry trends in support of the reinsurance transaction process
What you need to have:
A bachelors degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics or a related analytical or quantitative field
Knowledge of non-life insurance and reinsurance.
Excellent communications presentations and project management skills.
Strong ability to handle significant workflow through efficient time management.
What makes you stand out:
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. R Python VBA) and Stochastic Modelling will be a plus
Knowledge in non-life (re)insurance pricing
Knowledge of catastrophe models and working with catastrophe model output.
Good progress through the actuarial professional exams.
Self-motivated with a solutions-focused attitude
