Job Description
Job Summary: An experienced Painter is needed to perform comprehensive painting finishing and general surface maintenance duties. This role encompasses preparing and painting new surfaces as well as extensive repair and refinishing work on walls furniture structural elements and building exteriors. Key responsibilities include minor drywall repair surface preparation and the application of paint stains and protective coatings to doors windows ceilings and walls. This position is 2nd shift and the hours are 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Examples of work performed might include but not be limited to:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping sanding patching and cleaning.
- Apply primers paints stains and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes rollers and spray equipment.
- Perform all work incidental to interior and exterior painting projects.
- Perform minor repairs to drywall plaster and wood surfaces as required.
- Protect all nearby furnishings and surfaces by properly using drop cloths masking tape and other protective coverings.
- Paint walls ceilings trim doors and windows ensuring a high-quality uniform finish.
- Refinish or repaint cabinetry desks tables and chairs..
- Apply appropriate coatings to exterior siding decks and other outdoor structures.

Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience of on the job training as a journeyman painter
- Can perform skilled work in all types of surface preparation and paint application.
- Strong knowledge of paint types mixing and application techniques.
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel materials. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
