Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop components and assemblies using CATIA V5.
- Perform functional analysis and feasibility studies for design validation.
- Work on Injection Moulding and Casting components from concept to production release.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for mechanical parts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing quality suppliers) to ensure design-to-manufacturing feasibility.
- Conduct tolerance analysis DFMEA/ PFMEA and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards best practices and customer requirements.
- Support prototype development testing and design modifications.
Required Skills & Experience
- B.E./ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 45 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development.
- Strong expertise in CATIA V5 (Part Design Assembly Drafting Generative Shape Design).
- Experience with Injection Moulding and Casting design principles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining stamping plastic die-casting).
- Good understanding of functional & structural analysis (static fatigue preferred).
- Familiarity with GD&T tolerance stack-up and industry design standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project-driven environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to automotive or aerospace components.
- Knowledge of PLM systems (ENOVIA Teamcenter or similar).
- Basic understanding of simulation tools (FEA).
