The Inventory Processor is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient inventory processes. This position involves significant interaction with production associates to understand and translate shop vernacular as well as performing various inventory-related tasks such as tracking inventory maintenance managing stock rotation and assisting with physical inventory audits. The Inventory Processor will use the ERP system for material issuance and job closing functions report to management and advise on process improvements. This role may also involve operating a forklift truck when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate effectively with production associates by understanding and translating their shop vernacular.
- Read and analyze inventory-related documents and reports.
- Perform inventory adjustment functions and use them properly.
- Track inventory maintenance and ensure accuracy.
- Comprehend high-level material issuance and job closing functions within the ERP system.
- Report to management and advise on process improvements.
- Evaluate and manage stock rotation procedures.
- Train new inventory team members.
- Assist with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
- Operate a forklift truck when necessary.
- Use computerized inventory software (ERP) to record all inventory-related data and demonstrate proficiency in ERP software including compiling reports such as spreadsheets.
- Communicate with transaction control and management to improve inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory trends and provide detailed explanations.
- Make recommendations to resolve inventory issues and report discrepancies.
- Track results based on recommendations.
- Complete various administrative duties as assigned.
- Meet or exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Share ideas to improve output or efficiency to meet or exceed standards.
- Embrace the 5S methodology and utilize it to build and maintain a quality work environment.
- Drive a culture of safety quality ERP and productivity through area and business efforts.
- Promote safety as a top priority and follow all Ohio Gratings safety guidelines and procedures.
- Comply with all OSHA guidelines as trained by Ohio Gratings.
- Attend all required safety training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES:
- High School Diploma required.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and methods.
- Forklift experience beneficial.
- Prior knowledge of ERP/RF systems preferred.
- Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports.
- Mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand walk sit climb balance stoop kneel crouch and crawl.
- Ability to use hands/arms to reach handle or feel objects tools or controls.
- Ability to work in multiple areas of the plant and may be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must have excellent vision distant and peripheral with the ability to identify and distinguish colors and adjust focus.
- Will work near moving mechanical parts high and/or confining places.
- Ability to sit or stand while counting inventory for long periods of time.
