Transaction Processor - Lockbox (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay:$20/hr.

Type:Temp to Hire

Location: On-site

Summary

Process high-volume lockbox transactions with speed and accuracy. Youll open/sort mail extract contents scan and index items make payment processing decisions per client instructions reconcile batches and complete quality checks-following SOPs and meeting accuracy and turnaround SLAs. Work is production-based with clear metrics and close coordination with Workflow/Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities (Essential)

  • Operate mail extraction units; make payment processing decisions based on client requirements.
  • Perform manual and/or automated sorting of work per client instructions.
  • Stage workin an accurate presentable format for customer capture; present clean documents for capture.
  • Meet or exceed department productivity and accuracy standards; escalate exceptions promptly.
  • Crosstrain and support all areas of the Lockbox department.
  • Day-to-day production tasks typical of a transaction role:
    • Intake & prep:open/sort mail scan documents index to correct accounts/cases.
    • Data entry & validation:key fields verify against business rules reconcile batches.
    • Exception handling:research discrepancies route issues request missing info.
    • Balancing & QC:run quality checks confirm completeness finalize outputs.
    • Documentation:maintain logs trackers and compliance artifacts per SOPs.

Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential)

  • Support additional Lockbox modules as needed (e.g. RDE Scanning Mail Distribution Validations).
  • Perform various clerical functions within the department.

Tools & Environment

  • Mail extraction units; scanning/imaging and capturing applications; lockbox/workflow systems.
  • Production settingwith defined SLAs accuracy thresholds throughput goals and attendance expectations.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent(preferred).
  • Prior payments/remittance/lockboxprocessing experience (preferred).

Knowledge & Skills (Required)

  • Basic computer operation (touch screen mouse reboot etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination organization and time management.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills; strong verbal and written communication.
  • Customer-focusedwith the ability to prioritize; reliable and detail-oriented.
