The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organizations inventory levels ensuring optimal stock availability accuracy and efficiency. This role involves coordinating inventory operations implementing inventory control procedures and collaborating with various departments to support production sales and procurement objectives for the Schenectady N.Y. Wind manufacturing operation.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions including receipts shipments and transfers.
  • Lead annual physical inventory activities.
  • Collaborate with planning procurement and production to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
  • Utilize inventory management software and tools to track stock and generate reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regulatory requirements and health & safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to increase inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead and train union hourly front-line warehouse/yard employees providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Address and resolve any inventory-related issues or challenges in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present regular inventory reports to management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of materials inventory warehouse or manufacturing experience.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position is 100% onsite in Schenectady NY.

  • Experience working in a Union environment.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to document plan and shift priorities as needed.

The base pay range for this position is$90400.00 - $150500.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 10%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
