Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Polish Filter Operator to join our team at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining polish filter equipment used in the sugar refining process. This role involves ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the equipment monitoring the filtration process and performing routine maintenance to ensure product quality and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate check-in and check-out filters in the filtration unit.
- Monitor process parameters to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean and maintain filter bags to ensure operational efficiency.
- Minimize operational costs and reduce downtime during maintenance activities.
- Monitor and report sugar loss during filtration.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of QMS FSMS FSSC OHSAS and other relevant management systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Engineering Laboratory and HR to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- OND in a science-related discipline or a High School Certificate.
- Candidates with little or no experience are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Prior experience with separation or centrifugation processes especially in sugar liquor processing is a plus.
- Sound knowledge of sugar filtration processes.
- Strong resource management and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit with a proactive and result-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of safety and hygiene.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
