Compensation & Schedule:

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 40 Hours per week in-office.
Pay Range: $22 - $30 per hour
Annual Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus

Job Description:

Tacoma Screw Products is a distribution company that has been supplying industrial supplies fasteners and tools to contractors businesses both small and large and individual retail customers since 1946. We serve a unique mix of wholesale and retail customers which allows us to operate outside of traditional retail hours. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production & Inventory Planning Coordinator to join our Inventory team. This role is responsible for supporting the movement packaging and planning of industrial supplies and fasteners across multiple warehouse locations. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end process of creating work orders planning production schedules for packaging coordinating warehouse transfers and performing basic inventory analysis to ensure optimal stock levels and timely order fulfillment.

This role will be based in our Tacoma Headquarters located at 2001 Center Street and 100% in office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain production schedules for packaging operations based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Create accurate and timely work orders for the packaging team to convert bulk product into customer-ready quantities.
Inventory Management & Movement:
- Coordinate the transfer of inventory between warehouse locations.
- Track and document inventory movements to ensure accuracy in the system.
- Work closely with the warehouse staff to ensure physical and system inventory alignment.
Work Order Management:
- Generate and manage work orders for repackaging and other production activities.
- Ensure materials are available for each work order and coordinate any supply issues.
Inventory Analysis:
- Conduct regular reviews of inventory data to identify trends discrepancies or shortages.
- Assist in cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory variances.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with internal departments such as Packaging Purchasing Sales and Logistics to ensure production and inventory goals are met.
- Provide updates on inventory status and production plans as needed.

Experience and Skills:

Key Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy is imperative in this role.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
Experience: in production planning inventory control or warehouse operations.
Strong Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: Works independently while contributing to team success.
Self-Motivated: Proactive organized and ready to take initiative.
