JOB TITLE: Brand Designer Pulse Picks

JOB LOCATION:Lagos

ADVERTISEMENT
  • Pulse is looking for a talented and innovative Brand Designer to join our team. As the Brand Designer you will be responsible for defining and shaping the visual identity of Pulse Picks across our social media pages and website.
  • You will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to create a cohesive visually appealing brand presence ensuring that all designs align with our brand vision.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in web and social media design and a keen understanding of how to craft visually engaging designs that resonate with a digital audience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop a distinctive visual identity for Pulse Picks that aligns with the brand vision.
  • Create comprehensive style guides that ensure design consistency across all digital platforms (social media and website).
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to create engaging design concepts for Pulse Picks website and social channels.
  • Design and maintain the look and feel of Pulse Picks web platform ensuring it is visually cohesive user-friendly and optimized for product discovery.
  • Ensure that social media visuals reflect the overall brand tone and are optimized for platforms like Instagram TikTok Facebook and YouTube.
  • Develop mock-ups and wireframes for new web pages and landing pages to align with the brand identity.
  • Create innovative high-quality visual assets for product recommendations promotions and Pulse Picks editorial content.
  • Lead the design process for social media posts stories banners and advertisements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends to ensure Pulse Picks stays fresh and competitive in its visual approach.
  • Continuously optimize design elements based on user feedback engagement data and platform performance to improve visual appeal and engagement.
  • Work closely with the creative marketing and editorial teams to ensure that all designs align with broader content strategies.
  • Collaborate with web developers to ensure smooth implementation of design elements on the Pulse Picks website.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in brand design web design and social media design with a strong portfolio that showcases digital design work.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite Figma Sketch) and knowledge of responsive design principles.
  • Strong visual design skills with an understanding of typography color theory and layout techniques.
  • Experience in designing web pages landing pages and user interfaces that are visually engaging and user-friendly.
  • Expertise in creating visually compelling designs for social media platforms and understanding the nuances of different platform requirements.
  • A creative mindset with a strong eye for detail and innovation in design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers marketers and content creators.
