You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder the direction of the Director of University Galleries ensures the organization preservation of and access to the archival material of Fisk University Galleries in all formats whether paper born-digital or hybrid archives.
Provides professional leadership and expertise in the management of these records. Promotes an understanding of the universitys archives including Fisks history through discussions with visiting scholars upon request and instructional sessions with Fisk faculty and students engaged in archival research projects. The position requires thorough knowledge of archival best practices for appraisal preservation arrangement description and outreach.
Education: Masters degree in library and information science or field related to archival studies
Experience: Minimum two years experience successfully managing an archival program of African and/or African American materials in an academic library environment
