We are looking for a Sommelier - Shang Palacebased at Kowloon Shangri-La Hong Kong!

As a Sommelierwe rely on you to:

  • Be responsible for recommending taking orders and serving wines and other beverages
  • Recommendfood and beverage pairings to ensure and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Assist Hotel Sommelier to arrange wine dinner events including contract wine sales proposal and menu wine pairing
  • Manage updated wine lists maintain accurate wine sales records and control stock levels for the restaurant
  • Maintain high standards and professional services in meeting guests expectations to build rapport

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Diploma / Degree in Food & Beverage Wine Study Hospitality Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably in fine dining restaurants in prestige hotels or hospitality industry in similar size
  • Sound knowledge of different wines and spirits
  • Good organizational and coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese with strong initiative to interact with customers
  • Well versed with both internet and computer applications
