Sommelier

We are currently seeking a passionate and highly skilled Sommelier to elevate our guests experience at Castlemartyr Resort.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in a 5 Star Hotel as a Sommelier
• Advanced certification in wine studies (e.g. Master Sommelier Certified Sommelier) strongly preferred.

• Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Duties include but are not exclusive to:

• Collaborate closely with the restaurant team to pair wines with menu items and create memorable dining experiences for guests.
• Proficiency in cellar management inventory control and financial analysis.
• Uphold impeccable standards of service and hospitality consistently exceeding guest expectations and fostering a culture of excellence among the staff.
• Build key relationships with suppliers to ensure a creative wine list whilst achieving financial targets.
