We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead strategic initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency reducing waste optimizing systems and driving process innovation. This role will involve analyzing complex processes leading cross-functional teams and implementing solutions that enhance productivity quality and safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale industrial engineering projects from concept through execution.
- Analyze existing production and business processes using lean manufacturing Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Be a business partner with operations leader and oversee implementation of shop floor improvement projects and document progress.
- Design and optimize workflows production layouts and material handling systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop time standards labor models and capacity analysis for production planning.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to track productivity performance and quality improvements.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process inefficiencies issues using tools like 8D FMEA and Six Sigma.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering operations quality supply chain) to implement best practices.
- Use simulation software and data analysis tools to model systems and forecast outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen 5S value stream mapping).
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations quality standards and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 7 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering roles.
- Experience with High Mix / Low Volume Batch Build processes preferred.
- Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel Minitab Power BI etc.).
- Experience with AutoCAD simulation software (e.g. FlexSim Arena) or ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification.
The base salary range for this role is $87600 to $131300. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location level job-related knowledge skills experience and performance.
