Job Title: Quality Test Engineer

Position Overview
This role is a backfill position supporting Internal Manufacturing Quality within the Fuel Systems group with a strong focus on machining processes. The Quality/Test Engineer will lead quality investigations conduct root-cause analysis drive corrective and preventative actions and support continuous improvement to improve product reliability and reduce process variation.
Required Education
Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering field and 5 years of experience (internships count toward experience)
OR
Masters degree and 3 years of internships/experience
Required Qualifications
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
Data-driven decision-making skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
High attention to detail with strong process improvement mindset
Desired Skills
Knowledge of quality standards
Experience with FMEA risk management methodologies
Strong conflict resolution leadership and influence skills
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support root-cause analysis for scrap rework and customer complaints
Develop and implement Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) using 8D FMEA fishbone and other quality tools
Monitor machining processes using SPC capability studies risk analysis and performance metrics
Analyze quality data and prepare reports (FPY PPM defect analysis capability reports)
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering Operations and SBT teams to improve process stability and capability
Train operators on quality standards inspection techniques and compliance requirements
Participate in daily meetings cross-functional reviews and real-time issue resolution
Work in both factory (PPE required) and office environments
Contribute directly to improving product reliability and customer satisfaction
