Key Responsibilities
- Sea Operation Management: Coordinate and oversee sea freight operations (import & export) including container handling vessel scheduling and port logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- National Product Sea Cargo: Manage and control Operations departments in order to set up the responsibility under the leadership of two management structures of overlapping PL (PROFIT LOSS)
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals providing guidance training and support to ensure optimal performance and achievement of operational goals.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the logistics operations implementing solutions to enhance efficiency reduce costs and improve overall performance.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors including freight forwarders carriers and customs brokers to ensure service level agreements are met and costs are optimized.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks related to logistics operations including issues such as delays damages and regulatory compliance to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve targets and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration/ Logistics or equivalent
- At least 10 years industrial experience of which 5 years must be in managerial positions
