Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chinese-speaking CSA (Civil Structural and Architectural) Project Director to oversee and manage the delivery of data centre construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering background and a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical projects with specific expertise in managing data centre developments. This role requires bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English to facilitate smooth communication with stakeholders contractors and international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the CSA scope of work for data centre construction projects ensuring quality budget and timeline adherence.
Coordinating with cross-functional teams including MEP architecture and IT teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Ensuring compliance with local regulations codes and industry standards for civil structural and architectural work.
Guiding on civil engineering and construction issues and identifying potential risks and solutions during the project lifecycle.
Managing client relationships and effectively communicating progress challenges and technical aspects of the project.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the project site including scheduling logistics and resource allocation.
Negotiating contracts with suppliers vendors and subcontractors in Mandarin and English.
Facilitating the translation of technical documents and meetings between Mandarin and English-speaking stakeholders.
Tracking project milestones budgets and resources and reporting progress to senior management and stakeholders.
Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and project managers fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest quality standards and within safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management with at least 5 years of experience in data centre construction or similar infrastructure projects.
Strong civil engineering expertise with a background in structural and architectural design and construction.
Proven experience in managing large complex projects with a focus on civil structural and architectural aspects.
High level of Mandarin (both spoken and written) and fluency in English for effective communication with international stakeholders and contractors.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse project team.
In-depth knowledge of local and international construction codes standards and regulations particularly those relevant to data centres.
Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management.
Ability to work under pressure manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address issues proactively.
PMP or similar project management certification.
