British American Tobacco Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for a SMD Manager in Malang Indonesia!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Shape and deliver a clear maintenance strategy for Secondary Manufacturing (SMD FMD and RYO) that supports smooth operations and long-term success.
  • Support the rollout of Integrated Work System (IWS) PM Step 4 & 5 and continue progress through Phase 3 to strengthen how our teams work together.
  • Help reduce maintenance costs and improve equipment reliability by identifying ways to work smarter and prevent losses.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that improve processes and make day-to-day operations easier and more efficient.
  • Make safety a top priority by following procedures closely and creating a workplace where everyone feels safe and supported.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and collaborate with the team to solve challenges early and keep improving results.
  • Build team capabilities by creating learning and growth opportunities that support both leadership and technical skills.
  • Regularly review and update the teams skill matrix to ensure everyone has the tools and training they need to succeed.

What are we looking for

  • A degree in Engineering Manufacturing or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in maintenance or engineering in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience working with Integrated Work Systems (IWS) or similar ways of improving how teams work.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices to keep equipment running well.
  • Ability to spot opportunities to save costs and make processes more efficient.
  • Comfortable working with different teams to complete projects that help the business.
  • Enjoys helping others grow by sharing knowledge and building team skills.
  • Understands the importance of safety and creates an environment where everyone can work confidently.
