Job Summary

Roles:

Analyze Customers system architecture and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
Create end-to-end high level solutions to meet overall network requirements and product specific business needs
Work closely within the team to understand stakeholder requirements developing high quality architecturally sound systems that align with business needs
Establishing technical standards and drive overall solution architectures engineering practices and methodologies
Develop business logic with measureable outcomes

Responsibilities:

Responsible for architecting the next generation IP and data transport network architecture leveraging networking experience
Interpret requirements and aligning these to business and technology strategies policies and enterprise architectures
Develop the infrastructure architecture considering service level availability continuity suppliers security and capacity management requirements
Identify opportunities to apply technology trends and innovatively apply these trends to solve business and technical problems
Improved business flexibility delivered via a clear framework defined structure and standards. improve availability reliability and security of mission critical services
Communicate complex multi-discipline technology problems and recommended solutions to a diverse audience
Lead or participate in the creation and evaluation of tenders developing and presenting recommendations to stakeholders for approval

Requirements:

Tertiary education in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field
5 years experience inrelated role
Understanding of protocols to implement IP Networks and transport networks including BGP MPLS and OSPF
Understanding of network function virtualization (NFV)
Understanding of software defined networking (SDN) including OpenFlow Netconf YANG PCEP etc
Experience at identifying strengths and weaknesses of different technologies and architectures
Experience in architecting IP and data transport telecommunications networks
Understand the standardization process employed in the industry and the nature of standards bodies
Strong understanding of various software architectures (Web Cloud Integration) and methodologies
Experience with Enterprise Architecture best practice and goals (recognized EA certification is a plus)
Self-Starter with strong sense of responsibility initiative urgency and commitment
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills are essential
Highly organized with exception creativity and management skills
