The Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) plays a vital role in the cardiovascular laboratories assisting healthcare providers in the diagnosis and treatment of serious and complex cardiovascular conditions. Keyresponsibilities include assisting in the scrub and circulating roles during the procedurepreparing and maintaining a variety of specialized equipmentproviding excellent patient care before during and after the procedure. Collaborates and communicates effectively with the care team and adheres to all regulatory requirements safety protocols infection control practices and patient confidentiality. Proficient in pediatric adult and congenitalspecialty procedures within their assigned lab. Within the Cath Lab this may include structural procedurals and hemodynamics such as coronary spasm studies TAVR and peripheral procedures; within Heart Rhythm Services Lab left bundle branch pacing ORdeviceextractions and hybrid ablationsFlexible to adapt to changing priorities procedures and technologies and demonstrates the ability to think critically problem-solve and make sound decisions under adequate training will be required to work varied hours shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days evenings nights holidays and weekends.

QualificationsA graduate of a diploma associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes but not limited to cardiovascular technology ultrasound radiologic technology respiratory therapy or nursing).
Requires at least 3 years of patient care experience. One (1) year of vascular or cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
Licensure or Certification:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Incumbent in this role must be actively working to be a certified Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 18 months of hire into position which would make them eligible for promotion to a Cardiac Invasive Lab Tech. IfRad Tech (RT) must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and cardiac interventional (CI) credentials required within 18 months of hire.
