This is a senior-level PeopleSoft Tech Lead role supporting Duke Energys PeopleTools and Financials upgrade initiative. The position requires deep experience across PeopleSoft Financials (AP AR BI GL) and integration with enterprise systems with strong coding troubleshooting and SQL skills. The lead will oversee solution design development and implementation while mentoring analysts and ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and methodologies (Agile/Waterfall). The ideal candidate demonstrates proven leadership in PeopleSoft upgrades enterprise integrations and team management across complex energy or utility environments.
- 10 years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleTools upgrades (FCM).
- Proven leadership and technical lead experience with large enterprise ERP environments.
- Strong SQL logical design and troubleshooting/problem-solving expertise.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or 15 years equivalent experience).
- 10 years as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent role in PeopleSoft Financials (AP/AR/BI/GL).
- 10 years of coding/programming SQL and enterprise-level troubleshooting.
- Experience leading application development system upgrades and code migrations.
- Strong vendor management root cause analysis and process adherence skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with operations and DBA teams for patches service packs and upgrades.
- Previous management or technical lead experience.
- Leadership across a portfolio of applications.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Experience with schema/database design.
- Serve as Technical Lead on PeopleSoft Financials upgrade projects.
- Lead system design troubleshooting and development efforts.
- Coordinate with vendors DBAs and business analysts for upgrades and patching.
- Implement software lifecycle processes manage QA documentation and conduct code walkthroughs.
- Communicate technical status issues and changes to management and stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor IT Analysts; manage daily work assignments and pipeline.
- Research emerging technologies and contribute to strategic IT decisions.
- Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies effectively for delivery.
