OBJECTIVE
Main function for this position is to execute and guide the warehouse activities including general warehouse operations loading/unloading activities maintenance and key initiative projects for the Brownsville Texas distribution center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily warehouse operation and coordinate the daily activities of the Receiving team and material handlers
- Coordinate loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trucks
- Conduct forklift and Wave training
- Coordinate mentor and lead DC personnel
- Guide and perform all preventive maintenance for all equipment and building repairs and upkeep
- Support in key project initiatives for the DC growth and continuous improvement
- Ability to coach and train other team members on daily receiving functions
- Oversee the order and cleanliness of the Brownsville warehouse building
- Effectively manage the supplies for Brownsville warehouse (shipping boxes etc.)
- Ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Practical working level ERP experience with relevance to effective warehouse management
- Strong written verbal and organizational problems solving abilities
- Working knowledge of import/export requirements for maquiladora environments domestic logistics and international shipments globally is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred
- Skills with Microsoft tools
- Forklift license and training preferred
