Are you passionate about shaping Crown Lands policy and reform in the realm of native title and land management

Our Aboriginal Land Strategy team is seeking a Senior Policy & Project Officer to lead change and contribute expertise in this supportive team. The role will lead and coordinate efforts to deliver native title reform policies and projects related to Crown Lands work with Community in NSW.

Your responsibilities will include managing and coordinating strategic policy development analysing and reviewing policies impact supporting legislative and strategic reform programs conducting research and analysis and collaborating with stakeholders to identify emerging issues and recommend solutions. Youll also prepare briefings papers submissions and reports to communicate the Divisions work and support negotiations with government agencies and stakeholders.

This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.

About you

As our ideal candidate you are a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a deep interest in policy and reform. You embrace change with courage and resilience adapting to shifting circumstances and remaining open to new ideas and approaches.

You possess detailed knowledge and expertise in policy development implementation and review. Your ability to navigate complex legislative and policy processes enables you to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

You excel in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders including native title holders Local Aboriginal Land Councils peak bodies and other government agencies. Your strong communication skills enable you to build collaborative relationships that facilitate the implementation of reform programs and policy initiatives.

Your collaborative spirit shines as you work seamlessly with diverse teams and individuals. Youre receptive to feedback share information and value the contributions of others.
