Job Description

Our client is a leader in telecommunications infrastructure. It is seeking to employ an
experienced professional to join them as
IT Project Manager (OSS / BSS / GIS) (1-year contract) (Ref: KHXXX)
Our esteemed client will be undertaking an implementation project of a large-scale Operations
Support System / Business Support System ( OSS / BSS ) and Geographic Information System (
GIS ) Network Planning System. The IT Project Manager will be assigned and be responsible for
certain functional / non-functional area(s) or project streams of the project depending on his/her
experience and work needs. For these areas the Project Manager is expected to work with and
manage a cross-functional team which comprises the system integrator (SI) incumbent vendors
external business partners internal business users and IT SMEs to deliver the desired business
and system outcomes. The IT Project Manager will manage these activities under the direction of
the Project Director and the PMO.

The Job
1) Assigned areas of Project / Delivery Management:
Deliver the project through to post-live support in accordance with the agreed Scope of
Work
Ensure the alignment of the new OSS/BSS and GIS with the systems that will be retained
post-live
Partner with the SI and internal / external stakeholders in the project planning
communication design implementation resourcing testing activities (Infra ST SIT UAT
PT) data migration and deployment activities leading to production go-live
Partner with business users and IT SMEs to deliver the project within scope cost time
and quality requirements
Align the team and identify the associated inter-dependencies and risks work to resolve
these
Monitor and track the status of work streams key issues and costs
Input into project dashboards and reports for updates on project status and issues
Track and update resources plan and provide input for resource requirements forecasting
Review and ensure that vendor deliverables meet contractual obligations
Ensure the timely completion of project activities and deliverables timely escalation of
open issues closure of all issues and the sign-offs from the respective stakeholders
Manage the changes to the project scope schedule and cost
Facilitate Change Request Process with the SI
2) Assigned areas of Project Risk Management
Manage the companys contractual obligations
Manage and track the scope timelines milestones and committed deliverables closely
Identify project risks (internal and external) develop mitigation plans with the relevant
stakeholders and ensure the timely execution of the risk mitigation plans
Ensure that project risks impacting scope time quality and cost of deliverables are
discussed through the appropriate escalation process in a timely manner
Monitor enforce and track project deliverables
Track and maintain the Issues Log and Risk Log

3) Assigned areas of Stakeholder and People Management
Manage internal and external stakeholders
Maintain a collaborative culture
Work with the team to solve technical and business issues
Manage conflicts if and when they occur
Work with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful project outcome
Obtain stakeholders buy-in while ensuring that they are aware of their responsibilities and
deliverables including the associated deadlines
4) Assigned areas of Administrative Management
Manage internal and external stakeholders
Project planning and coordination of project activities resources and systems
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation plans dashboards and
reports
Ensure all documents and trackers are up-to-date accurate and properly filed
Ensure all meeting minutes and action items are properly documented and reviewed
Track and consolidate project progress from work streams
Track project milestones and deliverables. Ensure action items are acted upon in a timely
manner.
Monitor and track project progress and handle any issues that arise. Report and excalate
to Management as needed.
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
Assist in managing appropriate official paperwork such as purchase orders invoices etc
Attend to any other reasonable duties as assigned

The Candidate
Degree in Information Technology Computer Engineering / Science or equivalent with
minimum 10 years of relevant working experience
Have experience in requirements analysis business process design implementation
testing data migration training development and production cutover.
Strong technical knowledge in the areas of software implementation telecommunications
and telecommunications operations.
Proven experience in implementing OSS/BSS or GIS Network Planning Systems
Well-organised with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Motivated goal-oriented and self-driven with a positive working attitude
Ability to work independently and as a team
Effective time management with analytical and logical decision-making ability
Good vendor management and ability to communicate fluently in English
Great interpersonal and communication skills to work as a team
Negotiation mediation and people management skills
Ability to consistently follow up with team members to accurately track and instigate
progress
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Project PowerPoint Word Excel and Visio
