Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring business continuity in one of the leading companies in the pharmaceutical industry Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to lead our security and crisis management efforts in the MIDI cluster.
In this critical position you will be responsible for the identification development implementation and management of our organizations security strategies and programs for the MIDI region. This will give you the chance contribute to the business continuity by getting exposure across EMEA and with a focus on both Commercial and Manufacturing operations within our Human Pharma Animal Health and R&D areas.
As the Head of Security and Crisis Management you will also be an integral member of the new structured GFE team contributing to regional planning and goal setting and constantly evaluating and raising awareness of potential risks. The Head of Security and Crisis Management also acts as a member of the ROPU GFE team.
Personnel
Ensure a high skilled and trained Crisis Management organization in MIDI.
Directs staff and leadership in identifying developing implementing and maintaining security processes practices and policies throughout the region to reduce risks respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in informational financial physical personal and reputational risk.
Perform regular visits to sites in the region to assure that a functional Security & Crisis management system is in place.
Security
Directs the development of an effective strategy to assess and mitigate risk manage crises and incidents maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization in cooperation with the EMEIA security leadership team.
Governance
Ensures the organizations compliance with the local national and international regulatory environments where applicable to the accountability of this role.
Establish an understanding and awarness of security and crisis related issues at all levels of management.

An innovative and resilient mindset with great sense of risk based priority setting.
Qualifications in Security Risk or Crisis Managementsimilar studies or relevant experiences.
Strong sense for stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
Reasonable understanding of regular business planning is capable to put security in a business context.
Experience in field of private and/or public security.
Proven track record in incident and crisis response planning and management.
Experience in security and crisis relevant topics and incidents.
Professional Certification in Security Management Desirable.
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously within an international setting.
Excellent command of the English language.
Quick thinking ability to work under pressure perseverance a confident demeanour.
Ability to foresee and identify possible upcoming risks and to initiate necessary preventive precaution measures.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization (including briefing executive management governance committees and oversight groups on the status of security issues). High-level analytical skills leadership experience and exceptional relationship management competencies to understand impact and sensitivity of security issues.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of geopolitical regional national local political and operational security factors and apply this knowledge to analysis and planning.
Audit & Compliance skills advanced technical understanding.
