Senior Financing Specialist - Finance as a Service team ING Real Estate Finance BB NL fs 11
Your role and work environment
As a member of this team you will work on the Finance as a Service (FaaS) proposition for our Real Estate clients. Together with the relevant Wholesale Banking (WB) products teams you will work on existing and new distribution partnerships assist on complex (syndicated) financing structures look for new ways to place or sell-down real estate loans (i.e. securitizations debt funds) work on client (fee) mandates and several other strategic projects of the REF BB NL organization. As part of the FaaS team you will work closely together with existing ING distribution teams and channels yet also come up with new and innovative ways to increase our distribution capacity and therefore help our clients. Our contributions must enhance the flexibility of our balance sheet and ensure that Real Estate Finance Business Banking NL (REF BB NL) remains the leading financing platform in the Dutch real estate market for the foreseeable future.
Within REF BB NL you are supported by the other two colleagues of the FaaS team. The FaaS team is part of the Center of Expertise (9 FTE) which will provide you with an even more comprehensive overview of REF BB NL.
Stakeholders
You will work in a dynamic environment within REF BB NL with predominantly Dutch clients yet also several international stakeholders:
- Internal: BB Real Estate relationship managers REF Lending Specialists (and various Operations teams) REF Delivery REF Risk Balance Sheet Distribution Loan Syndicate Debt & Capital Advisory Legal Sustainable Finance and various Business Banking teams
- External: clients banks institutional investors law firms family offices debt funds and (debt) advisors
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Financing Specialist in the FaaS team you have a.o. the following responsibilities:
- Support front office in structuring (a.o. RPM and credit application) and assist in the financing process of club deal / syndicated loan transactions or bilateral transactions which are documented on LMA documentation. This also entails the coordination of amendments and refinancings of existing club deals syndicated financings and LMA transactions;
- Manage the existing off-balance sheet portfolio of REF BB NL and ensure that the organization is better fit for existing and new distribution activities;
- Regularly visit clients and prospects for which we set up tailor made client pitches to advise clients on financing structure possibilities (or specific financings);
- Pitch support and work-out client (fee-related) mandates;
- Set up new financing propositions (e.g. development hotel and/or health care real estate);
- Educate and assist REF BB NL organization on LMA documentation and how the organization can shift to an originate-to-distribute model;
- Develop a strong network with the relevant WB product teams who are involved in the actual distribution;
- Monitor and improve strategic client plans and overviews of top clients of REF BB NL;
- Come up with new ideas to increase the distribution capacity of REF BB NL and find ways how we can better help our clients (even outside the REF BB NL balance sheet); and
- Assist on several other strategic initiatives of REF BB NL.
We are looking for
We are looking for a colleague with the talent to bring this relatively new team forward. With your enthusiasm ideas and involvement you can make a an ideal candidate we are looking for someone with the following nice-to-haves:
- Entrepreneurial and/or energetic mind-set;
- Have worked within Real Estate Banking (preferably within relationship lending and/or account management) or have some experience with WB product and distribution teams;
- Possess real estate and/or market/liquidity knowledge;
- Have an affinity with real estate and/or its clients;
- You are a team player; and
- You are a curious and ambitious person driven to learn quickly
With a proven track record and technical skills:
- Master degree in Real Estate Business or Finance related studies;
- >6 Years experience in banking;
- Good excel and Powerpoint skills; and
- Fluent in English and Dutch
