Position Purpose
Works with the Director of the Exeter Fund in planning organization and implementation of the Exeter Fund and the Reunion and Non-Reunion Gift Program.
Key Accountabilities
Fundraising and Development Leadership
- Oversees the reunion gift campaign for four classes.
- Cultivates and solicits donors/prospects at the leadership gift level.
- Identifies recruits manages guides and motivates alumni volunteer leaders.
- Plans and implements reunion giving campaigns including coordinating major gift solicitations with members of the Major Gifts staff and reunion volunteers.
- Attends events both on and off campus.
Strategic and Administrative
- Develops strategies for giving and increasing participation of alumni to 50% or higher.
- Assists with the planning and staffing of Exeter Leadership Weekend and reunion weekends as assigned.
- Utilizes AgentSphere an online tool for volunteer fundraisers.
- Works collaboratively with administrators and other departments within Institutional Advancement.
- Participates in planning meetings accepting special assignments assisting colleagues and providing support for all ongoing programs and operations as needed.
- Provides support for the volunteers of reunion/non-reunion classes including the coordination of all solicitations.
- Shares responsibility for acknowledging gifts to the Exeter Fund and all miscellaneous Exeter Fund correspondence.
- Ability to request and analyze data to make strategic programmatic decisions to increase retention and giving.
- Assists with the preparation of periodic reports including the year-end Report of Giving.
- Assists with the supervision of office personnel and files.
Direct/Indirect Reports
Assists with the supervision of office personnel Program Assistants (2).
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
Experience
- 3 years direct annual giving fund-raising experience in a college or private secondary school development office.
- Experience managing a large number of prospective donors resulting in significant increased gifts.
- Experience working with a volunteer-based organization preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.

- Successfully complete a criminal background check (reviewed every 5 years)
