POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity position to begin August 2026. The candidate should have a Ph.D. or Masters degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science or a closely related field. The beautiful campus of Benedictine College is situated in picturesque Atchison KS on the bluffs above the Missouri River. Atchison is within an hour drive of major cities such as Kansas City Saint Joseph Lawrence and Topeka as well as 40 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport. Benedictine College has a full-time undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2200 students and is a mission-centered academic community. Its mission as a Catholic Benedictine liberal arts and residential college is the education of men and women within a community of faith and scholarship. Benedictine College provides a liberal arts education through academic programs based on a core of studies in the arts and addition the college provides education for careers through both professional courses of study and major programs in the liberal arts and sciences. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential function is to teach courses in Cybersecurity and/or Computer Science. A typical course load is 12 credit hours per semester. Courses vary in number of credit hours but the teaching load typically requires teaching 3-4 courses per semester. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment and to engaging undergraduate students in research. Additional responsibilities include engagement in and service to the department college and community. This may include developing Cybersecurity curriculum. The candidate should expect to remain active in scholarship and hold broad teaching interests.

A Ph.D. degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science or closely related field or a Masters degree in such a field with ample professional experience related to Cybersecurity.
