The Test Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing tests to ensure product quality and functionality. They collaborate with development teams to identify defects and validate that systems meet specified requirements. This role demands precision autonomy and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Execution:
- Prepare and execute test cases and test scenarios according to established methodologies.
- Analyzing and switch between different tools and data to create and accomodate the scenarios.
- Identify and document defects during test execution.
- Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze test results to verify compliance with requirements.
- Create and present clear detailed test reports for stakeholders.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with development teams to ensure defects are addressed.
- Fearless and curious enough to understand the origin of the defect.
- Provide timely updates on testing progress and identified issues.
- Tool Proficiency:
- Utilize tools such as POSTMAN SQL JIRA for testing and defect management.
- Nice to have - SoapUI XRAY
Requirements
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Experience with testing tools and defect management software.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good command of French and English languages.
Additional Requirements:
- Understanding of standard testing methodologies and practices.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle models (e.g. Agile Scrum).
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in software testing.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and adapting to new environments.
- Knowledge of main principles of insurance business will be considered as an advantage.
