Job Description
The Mundy Companies a leader in the industrial maintenance services and construction fields is currently hiring for a long-term position in the Freeport TX area:
BAGGING LINE SUPERVISOR
(HAMER FORM FILL SEAL (FFS) BAGGING LINE)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate the bagging machine and keep weights adjusted to provide an accurate weight of the product
- Operate the heat sealer recognize and assess problems with the sealing process and make the appropriate adjustments to ensure a quality seal
- Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale rule or templates
- Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
- Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
- Moving palleted materials around the facility recording and reporting these movements
- Gathering and bundling customer orders according to company process including documentation
- Practice good housekeeping and immediately clean up any spilled material safely
- Observe and report on any issues on the robotic palletizer
- Other duties may be assigned
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. This position requires a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified candidates must possess the ability to pass a criminal background check pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
