Location/Division Specific Information
Our PPD Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. The Logistics Coordinator plays a meaningful role in supporting our mission to improve health safety and the environment. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a world-class team that values innovation and collaboration!
A day in the Life:
- Maintains min and max inventory levels
- Orders materials to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Direct point of contact for the outsource kit vendor in the coordination of inventory materials.
- Maintains temperature sensitive materials
- Manages Inter and Intra Company Transfers
- Prepares local purchase requisitions
- Manages receipt of material
- Actively solves problem supply related issues
- Works with AP to resolve any receipt issues
- Monitors expired stock and replenishes as necessary
- Ensuring PPD part numbers are maintained
- Acts as a point of contact for all materials related functions
Keys to Success:
Education
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Experience
Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education training & some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
- 1 years in freight forwarding shipping or logistics preferred.

Excellent client and phone service skills
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principals pre-analytical analytic and post-analytic influences on specimens and results Intermediate level of computer literacy
Accurate data entry skills
Superior analytical interpersonal and time management skills
Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills in the English language - additional languages are an advantage
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making
