Location/Division Specific Information

Our PPD Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. The Logistics Coordinator plays a meaningful role in supporting our mission to improve health safety and the environment. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a world-class team that values innovation and collaboration!

A day in the Life:

  • Maintains min and max inventory levels
  • Orders materials to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Direct point of contact for the outsource kit vendor in the coordination of inventory materials.
  • Maintains temperature sensitive materials
  • Manages Inter and Intra Company Transfers
  • Prepares local purchase requisitions
  • Manages receipt of material
  • Actively solves problem supply related issues
  • Works with AP to resolve any receipt issues
  • Monitors expired stock and replenishes as necessary
  • Ensuring PPD part numbers are maintained
  • Acts as a point of contact for all materials related functions

Keys to Success:

Education

High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Experience

Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education training & some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

  • 1 years in freight forwarding shipping or logistics preferred.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Excellent client and phone service skills

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principals pre-analytical analytic and post-analytic influences on specimens and results Intermediate level of computer literacy

  • Accurate data entry skills

  • Superior analytical interpersonal and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills in the English language - additional languages are an advantage

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making
