Job Description

We are seeking a talented software engineering manager to lead a team of engineers that develop filesystem and related software for local storage (including but not exclusively APFS). This will require coordination and goal-setting for new features and improvements to our file system and cross-functional development with other software teams within Apple.

Experience in leading a low-level or system software team
Understanding of core OS concepts & fundamentals (such as kernel space persistent storage and system scheduling)
Expert-level programming skills in C or C
7 years of experience in system software development
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)

Deep understanding of data structures algorithms and their applications
Experience with recruiting hiring ramping and retaining high performing SW engineers
Experience in performance analysis of low level systems
Proven data driven decision making
