The role
Youll lead inspire and motivate a multi-disciplinary software development team of up to 6 developers and 1 QA and work alongside them to deliver within a high-quality and outcome-oriented culture.
What Youll Be Doing
Youll also be leading the growth of your team members by appraising performance and assisting them with their career development.
Furthermore youll also be accountable for the hiring and delivery of this team and will serve as a liaison between the delivery team and key stakeholder(s) internal or external. For this we expect you to actively work with your peers Engineering Managers to align on initiatives and priorities proactively identifying risks and dependencies throughout all phases of these initiatives. You will be part of the product lifecycle by supporting product owners and other change originators.
We use Scrum methodology and strive to continuously improve. As a manager the expectations are that you track analyze and support your team through change to promote efficiency quality and better outcomes.
What Youll Bring
A technical background with a proven track record ofleadingand managingmulti-disciplinaryteams delivering complexsoftwareprojects;
Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage communicate negotiate and work towards compromise and success during our product lifecycle.
Experience leading people and supporting their career development plans;
Demonstrated expertise in fostering and advancing a collaborative team culture;
Stronganalyticalanddiagnosticskillsparticularlyconcerningtechnicalrisks issues and constraints;
Seniorprinciplesleadingby example showingworkethic and passionateprofessionalattitude;
Knowledge ofdistributed redundant andtransactionalsystems and thequalityassurance of these;
Excellent written and verbalcommunicationskills (English and Portuguese);
Proven track record of IncidentManagement;
Experienceusing defect tracking systems.
