RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Security.
- Properly lock and secure USSRC buildings offices gates and other property in an accurate and timely manner.
- Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for policies and procedures governing interaction and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
- Comply with and enforce all USSRC policies and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute reports regarding security violations hazards and occurrences.
- Promptly escort guests and employees to safety areas during threats of severe weather.
- Meet or exceed the expectations of the Manager of Security for the accurate and timely completion of related tasks and assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of general law enforcement desired. Must have the ability to patrol areas on foot or in a vehicle and deal with unusual situations in a calm effective and efficient manner. Must have excellent verbal communication skills to deal courteously and effectively with the public and employees at all levels of the organization.
Other Requirements:
Computer Experience: Must possess knowledge of windows based operating systems; including some basic associated software applications (word processing and spreadsheet). Knowledge of handheld radio communication devices and CCTV monitoring software (such as Avigilon or similar software.)
Required Education
High school or GED.
Required Experience
Preferred Education and Experience: 3 years of experience as a security guard or in law enforcement work and at least 1 year at the managerial/supervisory level OR an equivalent combination of education and closely related work experience required.
Physical Requirements
This position has the following special requirements:
- Walking climbing (stairs) to patrol facilities and grounds for duration of shift.
- Standing sitting for long periods (4-12hrs) of time for duration of shift.
- Sight Reading Feeling Wrist Movements to inspect grounds facilities handle documents operate computer terminal security equipment.
- Talking Hearing to instruct employees distribute information and assist guests employees and service providers in person and over the telephone.
- Driving skills to operate company vehicle.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental Factors
This position involves working in various environments: Climate controlled building security station that is exposed to various weather conditions outside in various weather conditions patrolling USSRC grounds.
Expected Hours of Work:
Various hours. 8-hour shifts 12-hour shifts or special events that can vary in the length of hours.
