Overview

Field-facing buyer supporting on-site electrical construction. Youll own day-to-day project procurementquotes POs deliveries and expeditingfor time-critical installs. Youll work shoulder-to-shoulder with superintendents and PMs to keep materials flowing and the schedule protected.

What Youll Do

Source quote and purchase electrical construction commodities: pipe wire conduit switchgear/gear lighting and power distribution equipment.

Coordinate material takeoffs validate counts against drawings/specs and align buys to installation sequences.

Issue RFQs compare bids negotiate pricing/terms and place POs; track releases and delivery dates.

Stage and sequence deliveries with the field; resolve shortages substitutions returns and warranty issues.

Maintain supplier relationships; monitor on-time delivery and jobsite material KPIs; expedite as needed.

Keep procurement logs current in ERP/trackers; support submittals and closeout documentation.

Be present in the fieldwalk work areas meet foremen and adjust plans in real time.

Requirements

3 years buying electrical commodities for construction or distribution.

Working knowledge of electrical construction materials and how theyre used in the field.

Strong RFQ/negotiation PO execution expediting and vendor management skills.

Ability to read plans/specs/schedules and align buys to project milestones.

Proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement/ERP tools.

Comfortable in a jobsite environment and partnering closely with field operations.
