Position Overview
The Engineering Manager oversees the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical infrastructure. This role ensures a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff while upholding the hotels 5-star standards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the maintenance repair and operation of hotel systems and facilities.
- Ensuring all mechanical electrical and plumbing systems meet safety and performance standards.
- Leading training and supporting the engineering team addressing technical challenges and promoting best practices.
- Monitoring and managing energy usage implementing cost-saving and efficiency strategies.
- Collaborating with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and promptly addressing emergencies.
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities repairs and inspections.
- Ensuring strict compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Facilities Management or a related field.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in hotel engineering with at least 2 years in a supervisory position within a 5-star hotel environment.
- Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
- Effective leadership problem-solving and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting inventory management and energy efficiency measures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
