You will be responsible to ensure the quality of supplier goods meeting Emerson specifications and requirements. This role is part of the Quality Team reports to the Global Supplier Quality & Performance Manager and is based on-site in Stavanger.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Ensure the quality of parts received from suppliers meets Roxar PO requirements
  • Handle non-conformances towards suppliers timely resolve supplier quality issues and offer clarifications
  • Assist with supplier improvement on-boarding activities and production fault finding
  • Non-Destructive Examination of in-house welded components and assemblies
  • Planning of the control process selection of measuring instruments and methods
  • Measurements with measuring tools measuring fixture and visual inspection of parts and assemblies
  • Reporting recording and storage of inspection results traceability and deviations
  • Ensure supplier performance aligns with Emerson standards and represent the Company professionally at supplier locations.
  • Have a high focus on quality ensuring that customer and product requirements are met

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Apprenticeship / Fagbrev in a mechanical field
    • Understanding of IPC class inspection is an advantage
  • 5 years experience in quality control (either direct or in-process inspection)
  • Proficiency in English language both verbal and written
    • Ability to communicate in Norwegian is beneficial
  • Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Have a valid driving license
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Understanding of ISO9001:2015 is an advantage
  • Understanding of PPAP process is beneficial
  • The requirement to acquire or hold a validNDE certificate to Level II certification on dye-pen to level 2
  • An understanding of basic electronics visual inspection would be beneficial
  • Ability to handle several tasks and balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills;
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (if required) to visit suppliers
