As a Procurement Controller you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing approximately 35% of our cost of goods sold. You will collaborate closely with procurement specialists to analyze monitor and provide insights that drive a rapidly changing market you will help guide the procurement department to maximize results and manage risks.
This role is part of the Sourcing Control Team a dynamic and growing team that continuously seeks operational excellence. A significant portion of your work will focus on period close reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Controlling & Financial Management
Conduct performance analysis and maintain a transparent performance management framework.
Ensure accurate forecasting and risk management.
Deliver timely financial reporting.
2. Governance & Risk Management
Implement and coordinate risk management frameworks.
Ensure SOX compliance in procurement processes.
3. Operational Excellence
Oversee business planning financial tracking and variance analysis.
Align management and financial reporting.
Collaborate with Category Procurement Managers to enhance efficiency.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
Manage forecasting and annual operating plan (AOP) processes.
Ensure forecast accuracy and align with IBM processes.
5. Financial Performance & Business Partnering
Conduct variance analysis and corrective actions.
Partner with Leadership Team (LT) members on financials.
6. Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships.
Promote financial awareness and business planning.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Controlling Business Administration or equivalent.
5 years of relevant experience in a controlling role (preferably in FMCG Agri or Agro sectors).
Strong business acumen with finance/controlling expertise.
Knowledge of risk management & corporate governance best practices.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
Self-starter with a structured pragmatic and proactive approach.
Experience with SAP & Business Objects (preferred).
Fluent in English (Dutch or other European languages are a plus).
