Job Title
Guidance Navigation and Control (#GNC) Engineer
Company Overview
A pioneering space technology company dedicated to advancing spacecraft navigation orbital control and sustainable space operations.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Develop spacecraft AOCS (Attitude Orbit and Control System) and GNC (Guidance Navigation and Control) solutions.
- Support system-level design including mission CONOPS (Concept of Operations) FMECA (Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis) and FDIR (Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery).
- Design and verify control algorithms for RPO (rendezvous and proximity operations) and docking maneuvers.
- Conduct trade-off analyses for GNC hardware and software architectures.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and select GNC equipment.
Experience and Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in AOCS or GNC system engineering focusing on aerospace vehicle navigation and control.
- Alternatively 3 years of experience in mobile object dynamics control with an aerospace engineering background.
- Proficiency in control law development and simulation software (e.g. MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of real-world implementation challenges including signal noise and non-linear effects.
- English proficiency (TOEIC 700) and (preferably) business-level Japanese.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in GNC system engineering for spacecraft missions.
- Expertise in RPO and docking algorithm implementation.
- Experience in GNC hardware selection and architectural design.
- Familiarity with GNC sensor systems including cameras IR and LiDAR.
