Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Manu Tiko - Associate Director Business Partnering and Financial Control to join the Finance team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead integrated financial services across planning reporting treasury and compliance.
  • Deliver high-quality financial insight and modelling to support strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain robust financial control frameworks and accounting policies.
  • Build strong relationships across faculties central services subsidiaries and external stakeholders.
  • Promote agile portfolio allocation and seamless customer service.

This role is part of the leadership of a high-performing finance team and plays a key role in enabling the Universitys Strategic Plan ensuring financial health and delivering robust insightful analysis to support decision-making at all levels.

pmanawa - About you

You will be a strategic relationship-focused finance leader with a strong background in both business partnering and financial control. You will bring a collaborative mindset excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across a complex organisation.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience in a senior financial role within a university or tertiary institution.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • Proven leadership in financial planning reporting and compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with financial systems and tools (e.g. Oracle).
