Description

Clean Harborsis looking for aHazardous Materials Technician Ito join their safety conscious team. This person would be responsible forthe performance of tasks associated with collecting segregating packing and preparing for shipment of hazardous waste in accordance with our company policies and procedures at our client location inMount Vernon WA.

Work Schedule: 9:30am-5:30pm

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Prepares computer-generated packing lists labels manifests and land disposal restrictions notifications;
Performs inspections of staging accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;
Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;
Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations;
Collects segregates and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;
Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
Travel to Kent WA office as needed;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors

High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
Valid Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
