Are you passionate about optimizing supplier performance driving operational improvements and strengthening the global supply chain Avantor is looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Supplier Development Specialist to join our this high-impact role youll analyze supplier performance resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities that directly enhance our distribution networks efficiencyreducing costs and improving the overall customer experience.

Youll work closely with external suppliers and internal stakeholders including Distribution Operations Transportation Strategic Sourcing Portfolio Customer Service Regulatory and Master Data teams.

What We Are Looking For
Were seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven professional with:

Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Operations or Business Finance.

Experience: Proven experience in supplier development operations or supply chain roles.

• Certifications: APICS/CPIM certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting inventory planning and logistics operations.
• Demonstrated experience with project leadership and formal problem-solving methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Avantor Business Systems).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Access Word PowerPoint); working knowledge of SAP QlikView and/or Power BI is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to influence both internal and external partners.

How You Will Thrive and Make an Impact
As a key contributor you will:

• Provide monthly analysis of supplier performance and highlight opportunities for improvement to Supplier Operations Directors.
• Drive supplier-led initiatives to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.
• Review audit findings (I-Auditor) and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions that improve shipment quality.
• Use supplier scorecards to identify and address issues affecting Distribution Center (DC) performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize packaging and reduce damages including supporting ISTA package testing and certification.
• Resolve daily supplier-related issues raised by DCs and track all actions and resolutions.
• Onboard new suppliers to Avantors eCommerce systems via Standard EDI or Web Portal.
• Support new product launches with supply chain expertise in collaboration with Portfolio and Strategic Sourcing teams.
• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve master data issues and improve procure-to-pay processes.
