Calvary Health Care Hobart is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospital Assistant to join our busy Maternity Unit team. This position is ideal for someone with strong clerical skills and a proven ability to provide high-quality support in a hospital environment.
About the Role
This role combines ward-based clerical duties with general hospital assistant tasks supporting our team to deliver exceptional patient care. The successful applicant will work 5-hour shifts across a variety of days from Monday to Sunday with the majority of shifts rostered in the afternoon and evening.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient clerical and administrative support to the Maternity Unit.
- Assist the clinical team with non-clinical ward duties.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation.
- Uphold Calvarys values of Hospitality Healing Stewardship and Respect in every interaction.
About You
- Demonstrated history of living and working in alignment with Calvarys values.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospital environment is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work a range of days and shifts including weekends and evenings.
