Public Health Consultant Manager 14 - PHA Data/Evaluation/Reimbursement Unit

This position will manage staff assigned to grants supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The duties and responsibilities of the position will include: (1) Hiring supervising evaluating and providing direction and guidance to Data Evaluation and Reimbursement staff within the highly complex Unit (2) Manages staff and activities related to data collection direct service reimbursement and evaluation activities of the highly complex Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Navigation Program WISEWOMAN Program and Colorectal Cancer Control Program and potential other programs within the Section 3) other duties as assigned.

Education
Possession of a masters degree in public health health communication health services administration community development urban planning population and health sciences international studies political science health policy or a public health related field such as nursing epidemiology health education health economics dietetics/nutrition management genetics or speech and audiology; a masters degree in public or business administration with a health care administration concentration; a masters degree in social work; masters degree in counseling or masters degree in education or special education with specialization in blind/visual disabilities.

Experience
Five years of professional experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant including three years equivalent to a Public Health Consultant P11 two years equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 12 or one year equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 13.

Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is 320 S. Walnut Street in Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense including:

• A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
• A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
• Suitable lighting furniture and utilities.
