Job Summary
We are seeking aninvestment professional to enhance the investment portfolio management efficiency and the investment returns. This position will partner with different stakeholders to ensure the investment strategies are aligned with the business goals and new initiatives while adhering to policies guidelines and regulations.
Investment Management
- Manage the investment portfolios and day-to-day operation of the general account assets including cash transfers and investment compliance
- Understand the investment portfolios and optimize risk-adjusted returns
- Maintain relationships with external investment managers custodian banks and other investment professionals
Product Development and ALM
- Partner with key stakeholders across business to ensure the alignment of investment strategies with business priorities and outcomes
- Provide recommendations and implement investment and hedging strategies for different types of products
Investment Planning
- Develop investment plans income forecasts and variance analysis
Investment Reporting
- Prepare analysis related to investment activities portfolio exposure ALM and compliance
- Support Finance teams to prepare regulatory filings
Risk Management
- Monitor investment risks and ensure compliance with policies guidelines and regulation
Stakeholder Management
- Requires strong communication skills to provide clear and concise explanations of investment decisions and their rationale
- Partner with product development and actuarial teams to ensure the alignment of investment portfolios with business priorities and outcomes
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure the compliance of investment activities with risk management and regulatory frameworks
- Interact with external investment professionals to evaluate new asset classes in the market
Qualifications
- University graduate in investment and finance-related discipline
- 7 years of relevant experience in investment management or insurance industry
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
- Proficiency in Bloomberg Excel PowerPoint and Word
- CFA designation and actuarial knowledge will be an advantage
- Ability to run investment analysis independently with limited resources
- Ability to provide recommendations on investment and hedging solution
- Responsible to ensure that all investment activities adhere to policies guidelines and regulations
