This is a continuous posting based on operational need and will be used to fill upcoming opportunities within the next couple months. The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time. We are currently looking to hire forTemporary Full Time and Temporary Part Time positions.
Relief lines are not dedicated to any one home area. Staff in relief lines will float to the area of greatest need each day so flexibility is essential.
Day Evening and Night shifts available; 8-hour shifts and 12-hour shifts available.
SALARY
$30.56 per hour
This position is a unionized role with York Region Long Term Care Local 905

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for providing care support assistance and supervision to residents/clients in the Health Care Centre; promoting independence in activities of daily living including restorative care and working in collaboration with members of the client care team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a Personal Support Worker certificate program or approved equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Up to one (1) year experience or practicum placement with resident care in a long term care facility or other geriatric environment.
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Checks (PVSC).
Valid Ontario Class G drivers license and reliable vehicle for use on corporate
business.
Demonstrated basic computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications and
the ability to receive and respond to emails.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to work within a diverse community
and ability to deal empathetically with residents family members etc. to contribute to
their well-being.
