Job Description
Our client is a major player in the building and construction industry. As part of its expansionary plan it is seeking to employ an experienced professional to join them as
QA / QC Engineer
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the QAQC team.

The Job
- Develop testing and commission schedule together with vendors and forward to client/commissioning team for approval.
- Test all items in inspection and test plan at work site or laboratory to verify conformity with the specified requirements.
- Implement and control tagging procedures at different levels.
- Coordinate with M&E department on M&E installation and T&C.
- Liaise with external laboratory to carry out the testing of materials.
- Organize and conduct handing-over punch walks with clients and consultant team.
- Assist Manager in preparing handing-over documents and the handing-over process.
- Ensure all site inspection records QAQC documents & TC records are up to date.
- Responsible for the QA/QC section compliance with safety & occupational health practices.
- Responsible for site implementation of safety standards to comply with IMS safe work methods.
- Attendance at daily site coordination meetings
- Assist in all CONQUAS and QM assessments.
The Candidate
- A Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of quality control / assurance experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in bored tunnelling and deep excavation projects of similar scale nature and complexity much preferred.
- Prior experience in working in construction site preferred especially in civil projects.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence various stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
- Ability to lead QAQC staff and to provide supervision/instruction to the staff.
- Good technical knowledge of IMS International standards.
- Familiarity with local regulations pertaining to Builder License Workhead Registration or other related requirements.
- Familiarity with documentation procedures.
- Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and synthesize complex issues quickly and provide counter measures to settle issues.
- Physically fit and healthy.
- Willingness to travel to Site Office located in the East
- Willingness to work on night shift with attractive shift allowance
