Job Description

College Intern - Quality Engineering

Description -

What a College Intern - Quality Engineeringdoes at HP:

  • Learn and apply basic quality assurance principles and inspection methods.
  • Assist in integrating quality requirements into product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Support the development of test strategies and participate in test execution and documentation.
  • Help track and report quality metrics deviations and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities under supervision.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on quality improvements and process enhancements.
  • Collect and organize data from testing and production to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on assigned tasks and projects.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP usually possess:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Able to commit for a full time internship for 5-6 months starting in January 2026.
  • Strong interest in quality assurance product development or manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment.
  • Exposure to quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) root cause analysis or process improvement.
  • Knowledge of basic testing or inspection tools.
  • Interest in automation or data visualization tools.
