What a College Intern - Quality Engineeringdoes at HP:
- Learn and apply basic quality assurance principles and inspection methods.
- Assist in integrating quality requirements into product design and manufacturing processes.
- Support the development of test strategies and participate in test execution and documentation.
- Help track and report quality metrics deviations and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities under supervision.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on quality improvements and process enhancements.
- Collect and organize data from testing and production to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on assigned tasks and projects.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP usually possess:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Able to commit for a full time internship for 5-6 months starting in January 2026.
- Strong interest in quality assurance product development or manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment.
- Exposure to quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) root cause analysis or process improvement.
- Knowledge of basic testing or inspection tools.
- Interest in automation or data visualization tools.
