Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Office of International Programs - International Student Services is seeking one student worker to help support the international student population on campus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Office of International Programs (OIP) is looking for energetic and reliable student workers to help improve the experience of international students on campus! OIP is a growing operation and student workers can make a big impact being part of a small fast-paced global office. If you are interested in adding real-world work experience to your resume this job is for you! Student workers will carry out a variety of administrative and specialty area tasks.

Duties include and are not limited to the following;

answering student phone calls assisting student walk-ins scheduling student appointments updating and managing online student files in the International Student and Scholar Portal responding to office emails assist with updating the OIP website with new content and visualsand participating in staff meetings

FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT

NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Mature driven and reliable

Proficient in English

Interested in travel meeting students from various backgrounds and countries

Patient with non-native English speakers

Knowledge of MS Office (Excel Word Teams SharePoint etc.)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in another language besides English

All majors are welcome

Relevant experience working in an office setting and providing customer support

Strong interest in meaningfully contributing to various international programs at SHU
