Position Description
Job Title: Regional Food & Nutrition Hub Specialist
FLSA: Exempt/Full-Time
Reports to: Director of Operations and Community Engagement
Job Function: Catholic Charities Diocese of Allentown is seeking a mission-driven leader to manage our Food & Nutrition Hubs serving Berks Lehigh Northampton Schuylkill and Carbon counties. The Food & Nutrition Hub Manager ensures smooth daily operations supports and develops staff manages pantry services assists in planning nutritious menus and coordinates with partner sites and agency partners-keeping dignity compassion and client service at the heart of everything we do.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Daily Operations Oversee food hubs and pantries in 5 counties ensuring efficient high-quality service delivery.
- Support & Develop Staff Assist with recruiting training coaching and inspiring hub teams and volunteers.
- Menu Planning Assist and update nutritious culturally appropriate menus based on client needs and food availability.
- Coordinate Sites Work with community partners to schedule deliveries pickups and special programs.
- Order & Manage Inventory Maintain accurate inventory order supplies and minimize waste.
- Step In When Needed Provide direct service coverage at hubs and respond to operational challenges.
- Agency Partner Collaboration Build partnerships with other agencies including regional and local food banks to secure resources expand offerings and strengthen community impact.
- Other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement of High School Diploma or has Associate Degree or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in food service pantry operations or related management.
Other Requirements:
- Strong leadership organization and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety (ServSafe preferred).
- Willingness to travel across Berks Lehigh Northampton Schuylkill and Carbon counties (valid drivers license required).
Required Clearances and Trainings
- Prior to start date all Safe Environment Clearances must be received and reviewed including FBI fingerprint Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania Department of Health and Human Services clearances. All clearances must be renewed in accordance with Diocese of Allentown and/or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for duration of employment.
- Prior to start date completion of Mandated Reporter Training (MRT) and every 5 years thereafter or when required by agency Diocese of Allentown and/or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Clear PA motor vehicle record valid PA Drivers License and proof of adequate insurance.
- Completion of Protecting Gods Children Training (PGC) prior to start date as well as any recertification for the duration of employment.
- Any additional requirements implemented by the Diocese of Allentown the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or specific grantors for the duration of employment.

Physical demands
- Notwithstanding applicable ADA accommodations while performing the duties of this job employee is regularly required to: sit; walk and stand; speak or hear both in person and by telephone. Use of hands to operate standard office equipment; with occasional reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds safely is required and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
- Employee is required to drive safely to other Catholic Charities or Diocese of Allentown locations.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office setting. Some community-based settings.
- Normal work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:00pm.
- Willing/able to drive anywhere within the 5 counties of the Diocese of Allentown; Berks Lehigh Northampton Schuylkill and Carbon counties.
- Must be willing/able to travel to conferences trainings etc. when required by supervisor or program.
