Founded in 1956 HKBU strives to become a world-class research-led liberal arts University in Asia for the world delivering academic and research excellence in a caring creative and global culture. The University currently has an academic and teaching staff strength of about 1000 and a student population of over 13000. We offer a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through the Faculties/Schools of Arts and Social Sciences Business Chinese Medicine Communication Creative Arts Science and Continuing Education.
In Mainland China the University has successfully pioneered the establishment of a modern liberal arts college Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) jointly with Beijing Normal University. To further strengthen research collaborations with Mainland universities the University has set up a number of research centres/institutes such as the Institute of Research and Continuing Education in Shenzhen.
CENTRE FOR INNOVATIVE SERVICE-LEARNING
The Centre for Innovative Service-Learning (CISL) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is dedicated to fostering a dynamic environment where service-learning (SL) in the curriculum. CISL also manages TriAngle the Universitys first innovation hub where creative minds converge to network and drive positive change through co-curricular social innovation (SI) initiatives.
The mission of CISL is to co-create meaningful learning experiences with the University community and outside partners that empower students to transform knowledge and skills into empathetic actions that address community needs. It strives to provide students with the best experience that fosters holistic development cultivates a strong sense of social responsibility and empowers them with a profound sense of purpose.
We arenow looking for a visionary resourceful and dynamic individual to lead the Centre.

Reporting directly to the Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) the Director will lead a team of professionals to achieve the mission of CISL.

Shortlisted candidates are required to prepare a presentation.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
